Education and Learning
Brightspark Education reviewed by Hayley and Sky Feb 2011

"I wasn't really looking for maths tutoring yet as my daughter is only 7 years old but interested for the future so we decided to take the opportunity to be a tester for Bright Spark Education. The system appealed to us as we could choose a day and time to suit us, and the lesson would take place in our own home so I wouldn't need to take my younger child with me elsewhere.
The tutor was extremely patient throughout the sessions and tried to break up the learning with some conversation and questions. The lesson was taken at a slow pace with lots of repetition which was great for Sky - she is certainly much more confident with her times tables as a result of the sessions.
There is a great deal of support information on the website such as tests which is great to support the learning between sessions.
I think 7 yrs is possibly a bit too young (as we had thought) - I had to have one ear glued to the head phones throughout and I had to use the mouse to draw Sky's answers as she would not have been able to do it quick enough - this made it quite labourious whereas when her mouse skills are quicker then she would be fine.
I would definitely recommend Bright Spark Education tutors for older children because of the reasonable price and convenience. I think the children enjoy the fact they are using the computer to learn! "
