Konfidence UV T-shirts - Surf Edition reviewed by Benn 10
These T-shirts made by Konfidence for older kids are a very handy edition to a young beach babe or boy's wardrobe. Benn used his whilst river swimming this summer. He was pleased that he looked the part and I was satisfied that he was protected whilst enjoying the water. The t-shirt really took a bashing, literally as it was scrapped along the river bed and rocks and still survived. Benn's views: 'I liked the feel of the t-shirt, it dried quickly and I think I looked pretty cool in it too!' Enough said. Sweetling First Bras

Young girls start growing breasts approximately 2 years before their periods begin, giving mothers a perfect opportunity for friendly and open chats about all of the natural body changes that will occur in the next 2/3 years. It's important for both to celebrate this very special time as it builds confidence. Confident young girls who have a healthy self image are much less likely to fall into worrying teenage traps usually associated with low self image. After a few weeks in a jersey cotton crop top she will be ready for her first soft bra, get her measured in a lingerie department that has senior fitting staff, or 'share the moment' with her at home using the Sweetling measuring page.
We found the Sweetling range to be a favourite amongst our girls, after the initial giggly bonding session ,whilst using the easy measuring guide on the website. The girls were pleased with the funky styles and found the bra's easy to get on and comfortable. The extra care taken with the lovely packaging means that the bra's are a great gift idea. They went to school the following day with a wonderful new website to recommend to friends. You can take a look here >>
Konfidence Shortie Wetsuit and Rash Vests reviewed by Beth and Benn in July 2010

"Any trip to the Cornish Coast is incomplete without a trusty wetsuit, so as our children made their way to the waves we were pleased that if nothing else they would be warm in their wetsuits, even if we had chosen to hit the beach in the rain! These fantastically engineered 'Shortie wetsuits' are made to the same spec as adult wetsuits, this is good to know, as surfing parents we have always made sure that we had good quality wetsuits and wouldn't want anything less for our kids. We surfed in rain and sun for a week, the wetsuits never failed to keep Beth and Benn warm, and the brightly coloured rash vest (UV T-Shirt) pulled over the top of a quite small Benn made sure that we wouldn't loose sight of him in the sea and that he was sun protected as he played on the beach."

FitFlop reviewed by Zena in June 2010![]()
"Amidst the collection of Birkenstocks and Havaianas, FitFlops triumphed above the other brand sandals in the summer sandals survey with approximately 22% of women wearing the toning sandal on their holiday. So with a large amount of toning needed I had to get in on the act with FitFlop. As I have a dislike of most things that are good for me I was pleasantly surprised by how comfortable my FitFlops were. After strutting my stuff back and forth to school I was adventurous enough to walk the dog wearing my new found footwear. And I have to say that after a few weeks of donning the sparkly sandal I do appear to have become more toned."

Puddlepac Jacket £20 reviewed by Sam in April 2010
"Loved this incredibly lightweight waterproof! It looks great and long enough to cover down to the tops of legs and full length of arms so minimising what gets wet. It folds down to a very small space so is easy to put into a bag 'just in case' the weather turned against us. It also is not heavy so great for a summer shower when it is still warm."

Simply Colours personalised clothing review by Sam from Hampshire in March 2010

"Really impressed by the ease of use of the Simply Colours website and the quality of the personalised items. You can select the colour, font and picture for the clothes - back and front - and there is a huge range to choose from. The website was simply to use and I had great fun changing the design until I was happy. Particularly impressed by the quality of all the items, I have the T-shirt and large messenger bag for Alice and both are finished really well with nice touches like tags on the outside too that make these items look great. I will update my review when I've washed everything. I will definitely be using them for presents for nieces and nephews this year!"
"The Simply Colors website is simple, easy and quick to use. The range of products available is limited but they offer a wide range of colours and illustrations. Overall I think the quality of the product is high and reasonably priced. The personalised t-shirts and hooded tops are a great idea for a gift - unique, thoughtful and easy to send in the post!".
"I really like the bag. The fact that you can put your name on the front is really cool and means that everyone knows that it is my bag, especially when I lose it. Mine has stars on the front as well as star writing. The bag is big enough for my DS and make up (As long as my dad does not see). My friends thought it was amazing and wanted one with star writing as well. If you want to keep secrets you can put them in the zip pocket in the back of the bag. I thought the tag with my initials on was so cool till I overheard mum telling dad that it was the initials of the company and not especially for me – but others do not know that!!!" from Sammy aged 9 and 3 months

Kozikidz Softshell Jacket reviewed by Sam from Hampshire in January 2010 £39.99
"Another high quality, practical and funky jacket from Kozikidz. We had the hooded version in bright pink with lime green inside. It's beautifully fitted with cool little velcro zip tabs and symbol printed on the hood - the two things Alice liked straightaway. I liked the zip end cover so when it's done up the zip doesn't rub her neck or chin! It fits her perfectly and you can spot it is a quality item immediately. It's not cheap but you can see where the cost has gone on it. I quite fancy a grown up version, do you do one Kozikidz?"

Nomis Junior Football Boots reviewed by Erica from Hampshire in September 2009
"My son loves his Football and all the Football attire that goes with it so when we had the chance to review the NOMIS Junior Football Boots he was over the moon. Firstly I have to say that I shared his enthusiasm over the look and feel of the boot – a really nice design (One of quite a few designs available) and a soft but strong leather! They arrived well packaged in a zip-up bag (really useful to keep them in) and with a packet of Booster Cloths for cleaning the boot and keeping the grip at its peak! Very
impressive – My son could not wait to wear them and the first football match of the season saw him putting them on and running around the house half an hour before we even had to leave! Thank goodness they were clean! The boots were a complete hit, he said they were really comfortable and he could run around easily in them. In fact he didn’t want to take them off…His football team mates loved the look of them and the design of the studs meant that they had a smoother finish than other boots he has used which definitely looked less dangerous on a collision but still gave him great grip. The leaflet with the boots explains that the special Nomud™ technology significantly reduces the amount of mud, grass and dirt collected on the boots because of the unique design of the outsole and I must say they didn’t have so many grooves to collect the mud in and using the cloths that were supplied worked a treat and they were cleaned really easily." Kozikidz Raincoat reviewed by Sam from Hampshire
"An excellent quality raincoat received just in time for the July downpours! We tried the aged 5 to 7 size and it's a bit big but this is a good thing as sits below the knee so is a really good cover up. Also a very attractive design, funky but not too grown up or too baby. It feels like it will last for several years rather than having to get a new raincoat every year." More details on the KoziKidz raincoat here.
