We are proud to reveal the results of the What's On 4 School Kids Awards 2009!
As you all know we asked parents and kids across the UK to nominate their favourite after-school and weekend activities. We asked you to consider value for money, the fun factor, structured development for children and socialising opportunities.
Thanks to each and every one of you who voted on-line for the Best National Activity Award with more than 500 on-line votes being cast. Our panel of parents voted for the winners of Best Local Activity and Most Outstanding Activity Leader.
Well done to all of our entries, the standard was very high. So with no further ado, the winners of the 2009 What's On 4 School Kids Awards are:
Best National Activity: La Jolie Ronde for their French and Spanish classes for children aged 3 to 11 years
La Jolie Ronde offers children a proven structured and fun programme for learning a new language. Seeing the children become more and more confident in speaking another language shows the carefully prepared books, CD and teaching materials are of excellent quality.
Their course is aimed at having fun and many a time children do not realise that they are learning. Their dedication to language learning is admirable.
Best Local Activity: Wellington Majorettes run by Louise Brierley (Somerset)
A great social activity with discipline and fun for all age groups, male or female. This group attends a variety of events across the south west, Devon and Cornwall. They cater for all ages and aim to bring families together to enjoy entertaining others and each other.
Most Outstanding Activity Leader: Frank Handscombe of South Molton Judo Club
Frank is Sensei and has taught Judo to children from the age of five up to the oldest being 75. He is so dedicated to children, its so nice in today's climes
Well done everybody, you should be so proud, it's wonderful that people like our winners are offering children such fabulous opportunities and thus helping to make their future so much better.
